Area Manager Asia (China)

We are currently seeking an Area Manager Asia for Biobest Shouguang Biological Control (BSBC), located in Shouguang City, Shandong Province, China. This role is key to expanding our sales activities across Asia.

Purpose of the Position

As the Area Manager, you will lead the sales efforts and expand our distribution network in the Asian market. This dynamic role requires a strategic and proactive individual who can foster relationships, identify new market opportunities, and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strengthen and maintain relationships with existing distributors and key accounts, supporting their sales initiatives.
  • Gather market insights, track trends, and identify commercial opportunities to develop and execute a long-term business plan.
  • Explore new sales opportunities and seek out distributors in untapped Asian regions.
  • Maintain regular contact with growers to assess their needs and gather market data.
  • Prepare the annual sales budget and ensure sales objectives are met.
  • Provide assistance to the team in China for local sales initiatives as needed.
  • Engage frequently with international colleagues to share insights and align strategies.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Sales Manager Asia.
  • Be prepared for frequent travel within the region to meet business needs.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in horticulture or a related field, or equivalent international experience (minimum of 3 years).
  • Strong interest in biological crop protection and pollination solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of growers' needs in the horticultural sector.
  • A result-oriented, self-motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and strategic thinking ability.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and commercial abilities.
  • Fluency in Chinese and English is required. Additional Asian languages are an advantage.
