To strengthen our team at Biobest in Belgium, we are looking for a Regulatory & Compliance Officer.

Your mission 

As Regulatory & Compliance Officer, you are responsible for the day-to-day regulatory and compliance management of Biobest's biopesticide and biostimulant portfolio for protected crops, reporting to the Global Product Manager Biopesticides & Biostimulants. Your focus is on the operational regulatory work that keeps the portfolio compliant and market-ready: managing labels, monitoring and fulfilling third-party product obligations, and maintaining existing registrations across the countries where Biobest operates.

Key responsibilities

Labels & Product Compliance

  • Manage and maintain product labels across all relevant countries, ensuring they remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with current registrations.
  • Coordinate label updates, working with suppliers, translators, and local teams as needed.
  • Ensure labelling is consistent with the GAP table and use conditions tied to each registration.

Third-Party Obligations & Registrations

  • Track and fulfil ongoing obligations tied to third-party product agreements linked to the portfolio.
  • Maintain oversight of existing product registrations, including renewals, minor variations, and administrative deadlines, flagging risks well ahead of time.
  • Maintain organised, up-to-date registration files and correspondence per country, ensuring continuity if responsibilities or contacts change.

Collaboration with Global Product Management

  • Work closely with the Global Product Manager Biopesticides to ensure regulatory realities are reflected in commercial and portfolio decisions.
  • Flag regulatory risks or opportunities early enough to inform pricing, launch timing, or portfolio strategy discussions.
  • Support the Product Manager with regulatory input for Stage Gate submissions and business cases where relevant.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with local country teams, external regulatory consultants, and authorities as needed to keep dossiers and labels current.
  • Coordinate with BIOTROP's regulatory team on matters relating to new active substance or product registrations feeding into the Biobest portfolio.
  • Work closely with the local Compliance & Registration team, who are responsible for logistic hubs and subsidiaries within the Biobest Group, ensuring alignment on registration status, labelling, and compliance matters specific to that market.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific field (Plant Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, or similar).
  • 2-4 years of experience in a regulatory or compliance role, ideally within crop protection, biopesticides, or a related regulated agricultural sector.
  • Practical, hands-on experience with labels, dossiers, or product compliance administration; a working knowledge of active substance registration principles is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple ongoing obligations and deadlines across several countries at once.
  • Clear, proactive communicator.
  • Collaborative mindset, comfortable liaising with external consultants, suppliers, and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Pragmatic problem-solver who can operate within an evolving organisation.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French are a strong asset.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
