Operations Process Improvement Analyst Mites
Biobest is a leading company in the field of sustainable and biological crop protection. Within our production site in Westerlo, the focus is on the development and production of beneficial organisms, including predatory mites. These mites play a crucial role in controlling pests in horticulture and agriculture, such as spider mites and thrips, and contribute to healthier cultivation without the use of chemical pesticides.
The production of mites is a specialized and innovative process where biological expertise, precision, and attention to detail are central. It involves various steps, such as setting up and maintaining breeding populations, ensuring optimal environmental conditions, and carefully packaging the predatory mites for transport to customers worldwide. This requires close collaboration between different departments, including research, quality control, and logistics.
Today we are looking for a communicatively strong and analytically skilled Operations Process Improvement Analyst Mites who will further optimize the production processes within de mite breeding department.
Your mission
As an Operations Process Improvement Analyst Mites, you play a crucial role in improving our operational processes. You will be the link between production and R&D, implementing innovative improvements that make our workflows more efficient, further increase our quality and contribute to our sustainability and safety goals. Our current Process Improvement Analyst is evolving within our organization and will remain an important sparring partner to our new employee.
Your responsibilities
- You facilitate collaboration between production and R&D by effectively translating technical challenges and needs into research and innovation.
- Collecting, analyzing and interpreting production data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implementation of improvement projects with a focus on safety, sustainability and efficiency.
- Providing hands-on support for complex issues and acute problems within production.
- Plan, execute and coordinate improvement projects in which you inspire teams and create support.
- Measuring, evaluating and fine-tuning results to achieve lasting improvements.
- Present clear and visually substantiated reports and recommendations to management.
- Actively contribute to an innovative and data-driven culture of continuous improvement within Biobest.
Your profile
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (preferably in life sciences) or equivalent by experience.
- You have a keen eye for detail and know how to translate complex data into concrete opportunities for improvement.
- You see solutions where others see challenges and bring creative ideas to life.
- You bring teams and disciplines together and build bridges between different interests and perspectives.
- You take initiative, work in a structured way, goal-oriented and are not afraid to contribute hands-on.
- You communicate clearly and convincingly, both in Dutch and in English.
