General Manager Biobest Netherlands
Biobest Netherlands, subsidiary of the Biobest division, is a main supplier of biocontrol solutions for the horticultural industry in the Netherlands.
We’re currently looking for a dynamic General Manager to lead our team of 20 employees in the Netherlands. As a general manager, you’ll be at the forefront of sustainable solutions in horticulture in the Netherlands. Your mission
As General Manager Biobest Netherlands you have the overall responsibility for managing the company. As an affiliate of Biobest, you report to Biobest’s regional Commercial Director and work closely with members of the Biobest management team in their respective areas of responsibility.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance market presence and increase sales.
- Lead and motivate your team into successfully reaching these goals.
- Manage and maintain relations with our key-distributors
- Commercialize our bio-solutions (Beneficials, pollinators, biopesticides, monitoring products, etc.) within the Netherlands territory, expanding into new crops, new regions and application fields.
- Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to optimize distribution and logistics.
- Prepare annual budgets aligned with Biobest’s strategic objectives.
- Monthly P&L and business reporting
- Ensure timely availability of products through accurate product forecasting and intercompany purchases.
- Uphold company policies and compliance with laws applicable in the Netherlands across all operational aspects.
What do we expect from you?
- You are passionate about sustainable If you have a background in Agro-science, Bio-engineering or other relevant discipline, that would be a plus.
- You have proven experience in commercial processes of the business and a network in the horticultural industry to support this.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on mentality.
- You have experience in leading and stimulating a team by coaching, delegating, and creating trust within the work environment.
- You demonstrate sound strategic thinking and the ability to identify, prioritize and
resolve key project and partnership issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, engage, focus, negotiate, and resolve.
- You have knowledge of accounting and some experience with ERP systems (SAP).
- You are fluent in English.
