Regulatory Affairs & Trade Compliance Officer

Each product category comes with its own regulations, registration requirements and international trade obligations, making this a role with a broad and varied scope.

To strengthen our Regulatory Affairs & Trade Compliance team, we are looking for a Regulatory Affairs & Trade Compliance Officer.

Your mission

As a Regulatory Affairs & Trade Compliance Officer, you will be part of the team that ensures Biobest products can be registered, marketed and traded worldwide in compliance with applicable regulations.

You bring a solid foundation in either Regulatory Affairs or Trade Compliance. Building on that expertise, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge in the complementary field. By working closely with experienced colleagues, you will gradually build broad expertise, with clear opportunities to grow into a specialist or leadership role within Regulatory Affairs & Trade Compliance.

Key responsibilities

Regulatory Affairs

  • Support the preparation, submission, follow-up and reporting of product registration dossiers.
  • Manage regulatory documentation and databases, monitor registration deadlines and support compliance with local regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support registration activities and further improve regulatory processes.

Trade Compliance

  • Support the implementation of trade compliance policies, procedures and best practices across the organization.
  • Monitor developments in customs and international trade legislation, support compliance analyses and help resolve trade compliance and customs-related issues.
  • Manage trade compliance documentation and support audits, improvement projects and compliance initiatives.

Cross-functional cooperation

  • Work closely with colleagues in Product Management, R&D, Purchasing, Production, Supply Chain and Customer Service.
  • Support Biobest entities, distributors and end customers with registration and trade compliance activities.
  • Contribute to projects involving new product launches, international market expansion and continuous process improvement.

What do we expect from you?

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Entomology, Biology, International Trade or a related field.
  • You have at least three years of relevant experience in Regulatory Affairs/Product Registration or Trade Compliance/Customs Compliance.
  • You are motivated to expand your expertise into the complementary field.
  • You have strong analytical skills and work accurately and in a structured way.
  • You take initiative, are eager to learn and have a solution-oriented mindset.
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English. Additional languages are an asset.
